Home Hardware has a number of brands under their hardware ownership umbrella, including many very well known Canadian brands like Benchmark tools, Beauti-Tone paint, River Trail camping supplies, Kuraidori kitchen accessories, Unival automotive, and Vincente bicycles. Home Hardware is so popular and loved in Canada that the Canadian Postal Service issued a special stamp in 2004 to commemorate the store’s 40th anniversary. Home Hardware became even bigger when they purchased Beaver Lumber in 2000, giving them almost 150 more retail locations.
Beyond just selling tools and other hardware items, Home Hardware stores offer glass cutting, knife sharpening, window repair, key cutting, and pipe cutting and threading.
Home Hardware is known not just for their retail stores, but also for being very active in their local communities, sponsoring programs like Special Olympics, TreeCanada, and SickKids.
